Incumbent Worker Training
Our Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) program may be just what you need to help train your existing employees, to increase productivity and boost your company's competitiveness. Awards of up to $10,000 are available!
Employer Eligibility:
- Be an established employer that has not relocated in the past 120 days
- Have a need for job-specific occupational skills training, i.e. no “soft skills” training or general worker orientation
- Organizations may not be religious or political in nature
- Must be willing to increase trainee wages by at least 5% after training completion
Employee Eligibility:
- Has worked for the employer for 6+ months
- If a cohort of employees is trained, more than 50% of the trainees must be employed 6+ months
- Makes less than $54,080 annually
- Reside within COWIB’s nine-county service area, (Canadian, Cleveland, Hughes, Lincoln, Logan, Okfuskee, Oklahoma, Pottawatomie, and Seminole counties)
